Kristen’s Korner

The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation.”  President George Washington

When I launched the Center for Elder Veterans Rights back in 2009, it was based upon my desire to serve as a voice for those to whom much is owed…..our country’s Veterans. Moreover, as a working mother I felt compelled to pass down to my daughters the values instilled in the quote above from our nation’s 1st president.

Five years and nearly 16,000 clients later, I am still moved by the veterans we’ve had the privilege to serve and honored that our organization is able to show them the appreciation they justly deserve. Each day, we strive to live up to the values contained within President Washington’s words. We recognize our responsibility to extend our appreciation to the veterans we serve as small token for the sacrifices made on behalf of our organization, our families and our society as a whole.

I am happy to offer “Kristen’s Korner” as a resource for our visitors to find articles, blog posts and updates directly from me. I guess you could say this page serves as my voice so to speak.
